I took my son and his two friends on a weekday. The staff was exceptionally kind and patient. I had one child who became anxious with the high ropes, and then my son had a big chatty personality. They were so wonderful with the kids!! We participated in gem mining, escape room, and high ropes. It was a great time, and we look forward to going back. Thank you so much for a fun day!
Extremely disappointed with my experience at Extreme Park in Durham. A competitive team called Team Venom—with rapid-fire, heavily modified guns and fully custom uniforms—was allowed to play against casual players like us, many of whom hadn’t played in years. It was completely unbalanced and not fun. We were thrown into an 8v18 match and got destroyed. They were shooting us in our spawn, and we literally couldn’t move or play. We called for the refs to end the game, and they still let it continue. When we expressed how unfair it was, the refs just said “they’re members and bring in a lot of money,” as if that excused it. It’s clear this team takes things very seriously—custom jerseys, advanced gear, and nonstop aggression—yet they were allowed to dominate casuals with no oversight. I paid for a fair and fun experience, not to get steamrolled by a semi-pro team. I’ll be contacting my bank for a refund because this wasn’t what was promised or advertised. If you’re a casual player just looking to have fun, avoid this place on a Saturday .
A wonderful multi experience venue, offering a fantastic And challenging ropes course, zip lines, escape room, laser tag, and paintball! We did the rope course this time and managed to complete all 3 levels, but it's tough to do in an hour!
This place is so fun for paintball! They were able to accommodate our party of 16 people. All three fields we did were challenging but also safe. Definitely one of the most fun things we’ve done together as a group.
We went ziplining for my son’s 13th birthday and had an amazing time! The entire experience was fun, safe, and so well organized. What really made it stand out were the guides—they were absolutely fantastic! Super friendly, knowledgeable, and great with both kids and adults. They made everyone feel comfortable and kept the energy high the whole time. You can tell they love what they do, and it made our experience even more special. Highly recommend for families, birthdays, or anyone looking for a little adventure!

Triangle Rock Gym in Durham is a climber’s paradise! This modern facility is equipped with everything you could possibly need in a climbing gym. From expansive bouldering areas to top-notch rope climbing walls, they’ve created a space that caters to climbers of all skill levels. The gym is clean, well-maintained, and designed with a welcoming atmosphere that encourages community. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to assist or offer tips, and the training areas are perfect for building strength and improving technique. Whether you’re a seasoned climber or a beginner, Triangle Rock Gym has it all, including rental gear, diverse climbing routes, and even yoga and fitness classes to complement your climbing routine. That said, I wish they’d expand to Wilmington, NC! The coastal city could benefit greatly from a gym like this, providing a hub for climbers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. A modern climbing gym in Wilmington would be the perfect addition to the area’s active lifestyle scene. If you’re in the Triangle area, this gym is a must-visit. Here’s hoping we see a Triangle Rock Gym in Wilmington soon!
This is a great way to get a full body workout and have fun while doing it! Memberships are expensive, but they offer day passes and 10 punch passes that are great options for anyone who isn't expecting to go frequently. They have climbing routes for all different levels of skill, and you can rent all the necessary equipment there. It is important to note that if you are interested in the actual rock climbing (rather than bouldering), you should plan to go in a group of at least two people, since you'll need someone to belay while you climb.
Been here several times with the kids and for various birthday parties. Great place and friendly staff. It’s always full of climbers!
Mid tier climbing gym, barely one functioning sauna between 5 gyms, setting is very hit or miss with a high turnover on the setting team due to lack of a livable wage and health insurance. They love to taut this line that their politics don't affect their business, however they have made their political stance clear through their recent decision to remove all menstrual products from all bathrooms in retaliation for a recent email campaign pushing for their return to mens restrooms to accommodate trans and non binary persons, during pride month. They refuse to display pride flags but are happy to take our money to expand their monopoly. Andrew and Mike you should be ashamed of yourselves. To anyone reading this, don't sign up for a membership, don't have your kids birthday here, don't even come in for a yoga class. They do not deserve your hard earned dollars.
I’ve been climbing at the Durham TRC on and off for a few years now, mostly on day passes, and attended a pilates class (it kicked my a**, in a good way). It’s a lovely community and the facilities are pretty great. However, ownership has made recent politicized decisions that negatively impact the whole community. The owners’ decision to remove menstrual products to avoid providing this resource to climbers of all gender identities in response to members and staff giving feedback that such a service would be valuable is a disappointing and cowardly move. I hope someone else opens a comparable facility that is more welcoming to all in the community and more receptive to staff and member feedback, rather than imposing the owners’ personal views on an entire community. Not sure if I’ll feel comfortable going back in light of this.

Young kids really like it, and get to go wild together in a musical environment. Never gets old. The Notes for Tots class with Caitlin is a wonderful sing and dance circle. Caitlin is so in tune with the kids, I think she is single handedly responsible for them loving the class, the songs and the dances she teaches them. Really pays attention to them. This has really contributed to my grand daughter's social development, self esteem and joy in music and dance. I highly recommend it. Thank you so much Ms Caitlin!
Kids love this place! My friend's son had a party there recently and all the kids and some adults had a ball playing in the common area and singing along with the staff during the music time. My friend provided the decorations but everything was set up well. The party ran smoothly and the staff were on top of things. No complaints.
Been here several times and the kid loves it. Apparently there's a lull in kids mid-afternoon so that might be a good time to go if your kid doesn't like large crowds. I’ve gone to a few birthday parties here and each one has been great. They include play time and an activity. At one we made a home made kazoo which the kids loved.
I didn’t give 5 stars because they’re closed on Saturdays which is the one day I really want to take my children there. Otherwise it’s a great musically inspired play place. My boys love the slide and karaoke rooms. They also have a bounce house and plenty of other musical toys and instruments. It’s pretty small but everything is geared towards your child unleashing their inner musician.
Since it was a super hot day, we decided to check out this indoor play space! It was really neat. Lots of different areas to play in. The big guitar slide was really fun and I liked how the notes played when they were stepped on! With it being a hot Saturday morning, the space quickly filled up. The only downside is that it's not a little bit bigger.
